Opportunities Submission Information

Deadline for Newsletter Inclusion

The deadline for submissions, for inclusion in the bi-weekly Industry News edition of the newsletter: Monday, 4:00pm PT

If your submission is received after the deadline we will endeavour to include it in that week's issue, however postings received late may not appear in the newsletter.

The newsletter alternates each Wednesday between the Industry News edition and Theatre Guide edition.

Rates & Payments

As part of GVPTA membership benefits, Company and Standard Associate Members may submit Job, Volunteer, Audition, and Calls For... Postings at no charge. All others may submit a posting for a fee of $30 + GST. Learn more about GVPTA membership here.

If you prefer to have GVPTA complete the submission form on your behalf, a fee of $15 + GST applies.

You will receive an invoice by email once your listing has been approved. Payment is accepted by credit card at gvpta.ca/payment, by e-Transfer, or by cheque.

Submission Guidelines & Policies

Select the appropriate form for your posting by clicking either the Jobs + Volunteer Postings, Auditions, or Calls For... button above. You may need to scroll within the application box to see the full application.

Please Note: To encourage transparency, fairness, and pay equity in our sector, GVPTA requires all work-related postings to disclose compensation or salary range. If the opportunity is volunteer, state the details in the "Remuneration" field.

Listings to the "Calls For..." board may include: calls for submissions or proposals, applications for artist residences, mentorship programs and training opportunities for artists and arts workers, nominations for awards or prizes, etc.

Submissions are reviewed within two business days.

If you wish to extend your posting to a later deadline, remove your posting prior to the application deadline you've indicated, or wish to make an edit to your posting, email us. Note that submissions are not proofread or edited, and are posted as received.

GVPTA reserves the right to decline submissions. All listings are subject to approval and all submission policies and fees are subject to change without notice.

Learning & Professional Development Listings Requests

GVPTA provides listings of free learning and professional development opportunities (webinars, information sessions, town halls, workshops) from organizations across the sector, relevant to theatre and performing arts workers and artists.

At present, there is no formal submission form for the Learning & Professional Development board listings.

Member organizations may request a consideration for the listings board by emailing Amanda Peters. Please note that, at present, only free opportunities are posted.
