GVPTA’s Theatre Guide is the top search result for theatre in Metro Vancouver. Listing your production ensures visibility on our website, in our newsletter, and across GVPTA’s promotional channels.Listings may be posted as far in advance as you like and remain live until your show ends.
Listings may be submitted at any time using the submission form on this page.
Please allow 2–3 business days for review and approval.
To be included in the GVPTA Theatre Guide newsletter, listings for shows starting within the next two weeks must be submitted by 4:00pm PT on the Monday prior to the newsletter issue.
The newsletter is issued every other Wednesday and promotes performances running during the upcoming two-week period.
One listing equals one Theatre Guide entry and may represent:
- A single performance
- A full performance run
- A festival with one continuous date range
Standard Listing
- Text listing on the Theatre Guide main page
- Detailed listing page with image, description, dates/times, location(s), ticket info, accessibility details, and more
- Placement in up to two Theatre Guide newsletters (for eligible theatre performances)
- Promotion via GVPTA’s Twitter feed
Featured Listing (theatre performances only)
Includes everything in a Standard Listing, plus:
- Featured placement in the Theatre Guide slideshow (starting 60 days before the run)
- Featured placement on the GVPTA homepage (starting 30 days before the run)
- Priority placement in the Theatre Guide newsletter
- Featured promotion on GVPTA’s Instagram
Non-theatre activities are not eligible for Featured listings or newsletter promotion.
Standard Listing
- GVPTA Company Member: Free
- GVPTA Associate: $10 + GST
- Regular Rate: $40 + GST
Featured Listing
- GVPTA Company Member: $30 + GST
- GVPTA Associate: $40 + GST
- Regular Rate: $75 + GST
Manual Entry
If you prefer not to use the online form, GVPTA can process your listing for an additional $15 + GST.
Invoices are emailed once listings are approved. Payment is accepted by credit card, e-Transfer, or cheque.
Not a member? Consider joining GVPTA to access free or discounted listings and other benefits.
Accepted submissions include:
- Theatre performances or full performance runs
- Festivals with a theatre component
- Theatre-related fundraisers or special events
Not accepted:
- Music or dance events without a theatre component
- Courses, conferences, or instructional workshops
- Free programs of this type may qualify for the Professional Development board
- Each listing includes an image
- Recommended size: 1080 × 1080 px (square)
- Minimal text is advised for readability at small sizes
- Multiple locations should be included in one listing, with dates noted clearly
- Special events (talkbacks, relaxed performances, previews) should be listed in the Event Dates and Times field
- Ticket links should be live at the time of posting
- Submitter contact information is required for GVPTA use only and is not published
