GVPTA engages in research and advocacy initiatives that support and strengthen BC’s theatre and performing arts sector. Through sector reports, collaborative data strategies, patron insights research, and partnerships with arts and culture organizations across the province, we work to better understand the challenges, opportunities, and emerging needs affecting our industry.

We also participate in sector-wide advocacy through initiatives such as the BC Coalition of Arts, Culture, & Heritage, working alongside peer organizations to advocate for a stronger, more connected, and sustainable arts ecosystem in BC.

Some of our past research and sector initiatives from recent years can be explored on our Past Programs page.
