About the Opportunities Boards

GVPTA’s Opportunities Boards connect theatre artists, arts workers, and organizations across Metro Vancouver. Postings are shared on our website and may be included in the Industry News edition of the GVPTA newsletter.

Submission Deadlines & Newsletter Inclusion
    • The Industry News edition of the newsletter is sent every other Wednesday, alternating with the Theatre Guide edition.
    • To be considered for inclusion, submissions must be received by 4:00pm PT on Monday prior to the newsletter.
    • Late submissions may still be posted online but are not guaranteed to appear in the newsletter.
    • Rates & Payments
    • Free for GVPTA Company and Associate Members
    • $30 + GST per posting for non-members

    Manual Submission:
    If you prefer GVPTA to complete the submission form on your behalf, an additional $15 + GST applies.

    Invoices are emailed once listings are approved. Payment is accepted by credit card, e-Transfer, or cheque.

    Submission Guidelines and Policies
    • Select the correct submission form:
      Jobs + Volunteer, Auditions, or Calls For…
    • Some forms may require scrolling within the application window to view all fields.
    • Submissions are reviewed within two business days.
    • Listings are posted as received and are not proofread or edited by GVPTA.

    GVPTA reserves the right to decline submissions. All policies and fees are subject to change without notice.

    Compensation & Pay Transparency

    To support transparency, fairness, and pay equity in the sector, all work-related postings must disclose compensation or a salary range.

    • Volunteer opportunities should clearly state the nature of the role in the Remuneration field.
    Calls for... Listings

    The Calls For… board may include:

    • Calls for submissions or proposals
    • Artist residencies
    • Mentorships and training opportunities
    • Award or prize nominations
    Editing or Extending a Posting

    If you would like to:

    • Extend an application deadline
    • Remove a posting early
    • Make edits to an approved listing

    Please email us. Updates cannot be made directly through the form once submitted.

    Learning & Professional Development Listings

    GVPTA also shares free learning and professional development opportunities relevant to theatre and performing arts workers, including:

    • Webinars
    • Information sessions
    • Town halls
    • Workshops

    There is currently no submission form for these listings.
    Member organizations may request consideration by emailing us. Only free opportunities are posted at this time.
