Rumble Theatre's Living Room - Free Event

Wednesday, February 07, 2018 9:37 AM | GVPTA (Administrator)
This time around we're considering the real price of working for free in our industry. When should you stop doing unpaid work? Or should you always make time to work gratis? What factors help you choose a project? How do you value yourself, your time, and your art?

Director Sarah Rodgers and actor Raugi Yu will lend their voices and knowledge to the conversation, while Jamie King serves as moderator.

If you're an emerging theatre artist, please join us for a fun, casual evening of conversation and community building...complete with snacks, of course!

The Living Room - Working for free...and making a living

The Greater Vancouver Professional Theatre Alliance (GVPTA) strives to strengthen the local theatre industry. We do this through providing services, promotion of member news and community events, opportunities to connect and network, and our annual theatre conference. Together with our members we are raising the profile of local theatre and building community.

At GVPTA, we acknowledge that our organization is located on the traditional, unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
