Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre

Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre (vAct) is Canada's only professional theatre company in Western Canada exclusively creating and developing new Asian Canadian work. For 25 years, we've provided a home where Asian Canadian artists can develop their stories and find belonging within our expanding and evolving cultural landscape.

We produce and premiere mainstage productions, nurture emerging artists through development incubator programs, and build community gatherings. Our work embraces the full Asian diaspora, including, and not limited to, East Asia, South Asia, South East Asia, and the Middle East. We provide professional artistic opportunities for Asian Canadian artists, and advance the public understanding of Asian culture by featuring Asian stories in contemporary theatrical productions.
