Urban Ink Productions has announced a call for actor/singer submissions for our World Premiere production of Les Filles du Roi in our upcoming 2017-18 season in Vancouver in May 2018
Contract dates: April 16 –May 27, 2018.

Les Filles du Roi is a gorgeous new trilingual musical by Corey Payette and Julie McIsaac. 

We encourage actors/singers of Indigenous and Intercultural backgrounds to apply.

 

ROLES TO BE CAST:

CLARKE. 30s. English, but speaks French fluently. Spying in Ville-Marie, posing as a French trapper-trader. (The same actor doubles as SAILOR and PRIEST).

WOMEN’S CHORUS. An ensemble of young women who people the world of the story, moving between various characters: filles du roi, family members of les filles back in France, women of the Longhouse, soldiers in the Fort, colonists, farmers.
