Audition Notice: COMMUNION by Daniel MacIvor
A Non-Equity Production

Produced by: Laurie Hohlbein

A Shrink, an Alcoholic and an Evangelical.
Three Women. Three Lives in Flux.

The distance between recovering alcoholic Leda and her Born-Again daughter is filled with silence, anger and humor. Upon the advice of a therapist dealing with her own host of troubles, Leda tries to bridge that distance and prepare her daughter for the calamity just ahead.

Communion explores the dark places of relations and what is needed to repair a familial bond under the pressures of religion, recovery and a ticking clock. It asks whether or not some bonds are too damaged to mend.

We will be auditioning for:

Carolyn: a therapist (40’s)
Ann: a daughter (early 20’s)

Performances presented by speedbump Theatre in the

Havana Theatre April 10-15 & 17-21 (April 15 is a matinee)
1212 Commercial Drive, Vancouver

**Please note that we might be entering this play into the Theatre BC Festival. You would need to be available for a few performances in May and one performance in Vernon the first week of July. **

Please email Laurie at speedbumptheatre@gmail.com to book an audition time and we will send you a copy of the script with page numbers to prepare for.
