  • The Talking Stick Festival

    The Talking Stick Festival is a 2 week, citywide celebration of Aboriginal performance and art which features world class local, national and international artists in a variety of cabaret, music, dance, theatre, storytelling and visual arts. Highlights include: Our ever popular A Taste of the Festival Gala Opening ; our inaugural community Celebration of the Pow Wow Culture; the Wish Come True Writers’ Challenge; an evening of Aboriginal choreographers featuring Rulan Tangen (New Mexico), Brian Solomon and Tanya Lukin-Linklater plus a number of emerging choreographers; Utopia Fest – Women in Digital Culture ; Talking Stick to the Microphone - slam poets go head to head; All Our Relations Festival Wrap Party; plus the Vancouver premieres of: Metis Mutt, written and performed by Sheldon Elter; In a World Created by a Drunken God, by Drew Hayden Taylor; Chocolate Woman Dreams the Milky Way, by the Chocolate Woman Collective Plus much much more!
