Making a Scene (MAS) conference
sponsored by FRONT ROW INSURANCE
MAKING A SCENE was held THURSDAY, MAY 5, 2016
In its 17th year, MAKING A SCENE is essential to building and maintaining a community that fosters support, understanding and a common goal of strengthening the local theatre industry. Through presentations, working sessions and plenty of opportunity for social gathering, the day-long conference offers attendees the chance to delve into discussions with colleagues, friends and new acquaintances, all of whom are passionate about theatre.
The theme of the day was “Great Expectations.” Working together, theatre company members and individual theatre artists assessed the current state of the theatre in metro Vancouver and started to make plans for a stronger future. This included an exploration into the Theatre Engagement Project.
